After you move out, we will begin the process of returning your security deposit to you.
Here's what to expect:
- Great Jones will inspect the property in order to complete the "Statement of Security Deposit Activity" (SODA).
During the inspection, appropriate charges will be deducted for cleaning, damages, and repairs to the home and its contents (excluding reasonable wear and tear), and for any other amounts owed to the Landlord including reasonable charges for the time spent by management to return premises to its original condition. - Great Jones will mail you a physical copy and an email copy of the SODA 10-15 days after you confirm that you have officially moved out via text to 239-932-3454.
The SODA will include an itemized statement detailing the cost of any damages assessed (as per the guidelines in 1a. above). - Within 30 days of this move-out confirmation, the deposit refund check will be mailed to the forwarding address you provided. If no address is provided, the deposit will be mailed to the vacant home.*

SODA Disputes
If you have been charged for any damages or repairs on your SODA, you have the option to dispute the charges within 15 days after receipt of the SODA.
All SODA charge disputes must be submitted in writing via a direct reply to the original email containing the SODA from moveouts@greatjones.co.
Please note that depending on the nature of the dispute, it may result in a delay in receiving your security deposit refund check.
