While most units under Great Jones management do not require homes to obtain an occupancy permit before they can be rented, local law in the St. Louis area requires homes to do so.
Successfully obtaining an occupancy permit is the responsibility of Great Jones when they manage the turn, and the responsibility of the homeowner if they opt to manage the turn themselves.
St Louis
Since 2012, St Louis has required all residential rental homes to obtain an occupancy permit. This permit certifies that the interior and exterior of the home meets the standards set by the International Property Maintenance Code, according to the City Housing Conservation District.
Great Jones has managed hundreds of homes successfully through occupancy inspections in partnership with St Louis authorities.
